FAQ's

Q. I can't get anything out of the bottle!!

A. You have probably purchased one of the thicker oils, Sandalwood, Myrrh or Benzoin for instance. Sandalwood is a naturally thick oil, Benzoin is in fact a pourable resin. Warming these products helps, in particular with Benzoin, but the easiest way is simply to remove the dropper insert and pour very carefully.

Q. What is the difference between the three Lavenders?

A. Lavender 40/42% is a therapy grade Lavender, and is generally the choice of practitioners.  The Bulgarian Lavender is highly prized for it's extremely fine fragrance. Our "top of the range" Lavender is the Hi Alps, grown above the smog level, and extremely pure.

Q. When do you send out orders?

A. We post out Monday to Saturday morning inclusive. Orders placed before 5.30pm are usually sent out the next day. If this is not the case due to our absence for a short period, details will be posted on the home page. Heavier and high value orders will go the next working day via Hermes although larger orders which attract a discount may take a little longer. If your order is especially urgent please let us know in the basket comments section.

Q. What is the minimum order value?

A. For all orders sent within the U.K. the minimum order value is £13.00. All orders are sent post free either by Royal Mail first class post or larger/heavier orders are sent by Hermes. Proof of posting is always obtained.

Unfortunately we are no longer able to post orders outside of the UK.

Q. Can my order be left somewhere if I am not in?

A. We are happy to pass on a message to Royal Mail asking for your parcel to be left. Just leave a message in the comments box and we will put a note on the address label. Please note, however, that although we always obtain proof of posting Royal Mail may not take responsiblity for the non arrival of a parcel which has been left somewhere at the request of the purchaser. It is therefore not recommended that parcels over the value of £30.00 be left.

Q. How long does delivery take?

A. All parcels are sent by first class post, which in our experience, will take approximately two days from despatch and not next day as stated by Royal Mail. However they will not treat a package as lost until it has been in the postal system for more than seven days. Hermes takes between three and five working days and is used for larger, heavier packages.
